Choosing
the right bands for your Boot Camp or group training will obviously vary
based on your clientele. Below
are guidelines I have created based on my experience using bands in my Boot
Camp
Recommendations for choosing Bands for Group Training or Boot Camps
Females primarily train in
a pair of mini or monster mini bands for all upper torso strength training
Recommendations – 1 Pair of Bands Per/client
2. 90% of camp
participants can run in a double link light band set up
Recommendations – 2 light bands per client
for independent stations or 1 light band per person for partner training
3.
Handles are highly recommended
especially when doing upper torso training with mini or monster mini bands
Recommendations - 1 Pair of handles per
client
4.
Accept for the first 2-3 introductory sessions,95% of my clients
training in light bands for all lower torso lunge training.
Recommendations - 2 light bands per client
for independent stations or 1 light band per person for partner training
5. Mini bands work best
for trunk reaction training
Recommendations -
1 band and 1 handle per client
6. Tug of war training
works best in average or light bands
Recommendation-
1 average band or 1 light band or 1 light and mini band combination
per partnership

A linked band set-up using average bands or light bands

in light bands or lower

intermediate or advanced clients and 2 monster mini bands
for beginners or less coordinated clients.

Recommendations
If training in a Park
you want to consider using
Band Utility
Straps (BUS) to help protect your bands against fraying
Guideline…….1 Band utility
strap per band station
If training in a gymnasium
partner training will be more effective.
However if you have access to doors using a
Band Utility Strap
may be very helpful to set up stations
Guidelines……1 Band Utility
Strap per Available Door or solid metal attachment site like bleachers.
